Get on the bus to help real world learning redefine the high school experience

Tomorrow the next iteration of “Real World Learning” launches with the Get on The Bus lunch.  I have been honored to work with and serve as an advisor to this group for several years.  Watching the 31 school districts and superintendents across the city collaborate and work to redefine the high school experience for today’s students has been inspiring to watch change in action. Incubated by the Kauffman Foundation, Real World Learning has a goal to ensure that every high school student in the Kansas City metropolitan area leaves high school with at least one Real World Learning experience by 2030.

To accomplish this goal, we need companies in Kansas City to participate and engage with students. These experiences can change the trajectory of a student’s life. For companies, participation can be a classroom project, an internship, or shadowing and observation experiences.

Please think about how your organization can play a part in this worthwhile effort and get on the bus to help ensure the talent needed to power Kansas City in the future is being prepared today! Visit RealWorldLearning.org  for more information. Even if you are unable to join us for the Get on the Bus lunch  tomorrow, you can participate going forward.
