A month of Sunflower

What a fascinating first month for Sunflower Talent Strategies! I have certainly learned a lot about the current challenges in Talent Acquisition, and I know how hard many of you are working to make a difference for your organizations. I chose sunflower as the name for my consulting practice, not just because it is the flower of my home state of Kansas, but because it stands for optimism, honesty, longevity, and joy. All of which are excellent goals for Talent Acquisition and recruiting professionals right now.

Be Optimistic that you can fill the jobs on your desk by opening up your pipelines and looking for candidates in new places.

Be Honest with your candidates and communicate throughout the process.

Foster Longevity by placing talent in roles where they can continue to grow and bloom within your organization and focus on building talent pipelines for the long term.

Find JOY within your work. You are changing people’s lives every day, both inside and outside your organization.

If Sunflower Talent Strategies can take something off your plate to help you achieve these goals, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
